Whether you’re an exhibitor, speaker, or attendee, here’s how you can engage with this year’s expanded sustainability efforts and be part of a more responsible pet food future.

Sustainability is no longer a “nice-to-have” in the pet food industry. It’s an essential part of building resilient, future-ready businesses. That’s why Petfood Forum 2026 is proud to partner once again with the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC) as its Official Sustainability Partner.

This year’s event includes a range of operational updates and on‑site initiatives designed to reduce environmental impact and make it easier for attendees and exhibitors to participate in sustainability efforts.

Here are three ways you can be part of that progress during this year’s event in Kansas City:

1. Use the Petfood Forum’s Sustainability Features

Petfood Forum is growing its commitment to responsible event practices and making it easy for attendees and exhibitors to take part.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Use the clearly marked recycling bins placed throughout the venue to dispose of containers, signage, and other recyclables properly.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle and coffee mug to cut down on single-use plastic. Water stations are available throughout the event space.
  • Download the mobile app instead of relying on printed materials. It has everything you need, from schedules to maps.

2. Visit PSC-Accredited Companies on the Show Floor

These exhibitors are leading by example, using PSC’s rigorous Accreditation program to track, improve, and share their sustainability progress. You can identify them by:

  • The PSC Accreditation logo on their booth signage PSC Accredited
  • A special callout on the official show map

Be sure to stop by, ask questions, and learn what sustainability looks like in practice across packaging, sourcing, and operations.

3. Connect with the Pet Sustainability Coalition On Site

As the event’s sustainability partner, PSC will be actively supporting this year’s environmental initiatives. Whether you’re new to PSC or already a member, we’d love to connect. There are a few ways to connect at this year’s event:

  1. Visit the PSC booth #1034
  2. Attend the Sustainability Axe Throwing + Networking event at Blade & Timber on April 28, 2026 from 5:30-7:30 pm. RSVP here

Bonus: Arrive Early for Petfood Essentials

Petfood Essentials takes place on April 27, offering an interactive, in-depth seminar focused on operational efficiency and cost optimization.

Amid ongoing economic uncertainty, pet food and treat companies are seeking practical ways to streamline operations and remain competitive. During Petfood Essentials, industry experts will share actionable insights and tools to help businesses:

  • Control costs
