Recognizes an individual (within an Accredited member company) with sustained impact. They demonstrate long term leadership, commitment and influence and have driven measurable and credible sustainability outcomes contributing to industry advancement in sustainability.
Emerging Sustainability Leader
Recognizes a notable member early in their sustainability leadership journey that shows alignment with sustainability values through demonstrated leadership and sustainability impact that influences the pet industry.

Recognizes packaging designed to be widely and effectively recyclable through wide use of mono-material PE or other recyclable design approaches and or investment in take-back or recovery systems.
Post-Consumer Recycled Content
Recognizes leadership in recycled content usage through responsible use of PCR content, disclosure of recycled content percentages and supply chain traceability or verification.
Circularity
Recognizes packaging designed for reuse, refill or material recovery, is source reduced and shows a systems approach to transformation.
Sustainable Ingredient Innovation Categories:
Awards to be given to ingredient suppliers from the below subcategories.
Sustainable Ingredient Sourcing + Production
Recognizes innovation in ingredient sourcing and production with reduced environmental footprint, third party certifications and alignment with the 4 Factor Framework (1. sustainable nutrition 2. animal welfare 3. environmental impact, 4. social supply chain impact.)
Responsible Protein
Recognizes innovation in responsible protein sourcing through use or production of alternative or upcycled proteins that show a reduction in environmental footprint compared to alternatives. Company holds relevant third party certifications and/or includes consumer education elements.
Regenerative Commitment – Supplier
Recognizes credible commitment to regenerative practices including soil health, animal welfare and social fairness, through traceability/mapping systems and clear definitions and use of regenerative certified components.
Product Innovation Categories:
Awards to be given from the below subcategories.
Sustainable Sourcing Excellence
Recognizes a brand for responsible sourcing of raw materials or ingredients within the supply chain through supplier engagement and standards, clear reduction in environmental footprint and traceability/transparency of ingredient/material sourcing.

Recognizes a new consumable product with strong sustainability performance demonstrated through formulation, packaging and consumer transparency through data supported claims and/or third party certifications.

Recognizes a new hard good product with strong sustainability performance demonstrated through material selection, packaging and consumer transparency through data supported claims and/or third party certifications.
Environmental Excellence Categories:
Awards to be given out from the below subcategories.
Climate Action Leadership
Recognizes leadership in measuring, reducing, and managing greenhouse gas emissions through GHG inventory, climate integrated into business strategy, and transparency in targets, progress and challenges.
Regenerative Commitment – Brand
Recognizes credible commitment to regenerative practices through product traceability/mapping systems, notable use of regenerative certified products/ingredients/crops, and demonstrated commitment to the 3 pillars of regenerative = Soil health, animal welfare and social fairness.
Biodiversity and Water Stewardship
Recognizes protection or restoration of land and water ecosystems (including water management) through habitat protection/restoration, transparent biodiversity outcomes/indicators and water stewardship actions.
Waste Reduction and Circularity
Recognizes a consumer brand for their leadership in reducing waste across operations or products through lower impact packaging, material selection with environmental consideration and quantified waste reduction.
Social and Governance Excellence Categories:
Awards to be given from the below subcategories
Social Impact and Community Engagement Award
Recognizes positive impact on communities through social initiatives and community engagement with ESG focus and respect for local context through stakeholder engagement and co-created approaches.
Best Annual Impact Report
Recognizes excellence in transparency and reporting with clear, understandable use of data and metrics, inclusion of material topics and honest discussion of challenges.
Responsible Labor and Human Rights Leadership Award
Recognizes protection of people across the value chain through human rights commitments, workforce protections and engagement across the supply chain.
Ceremony:
The awards ceremony and gala dinner will take place during Impact Unleashed, November 9-11, 2026 in Boulder, Colorado. This celebratory event brings together industry leaders to recognize companies driving meaningful progress and setting new standards for sustainability performance.
