Growing Global Collaboration Around Sustainability – Key Takeaways from the 3rd “Green Paw Prints, Love for Earth” at CIPS 2025

Blog

Date: February 17, 2026

The momentum surrounding sustainability in the pet and aquatic industries continued to build at CIPS 2025, where the third edition of the “Green Paw Prints, Love for Earth” activity highlighted a broader range of participants, dialogues, and recognition programs.

Since its introduction in 2023, the activity has expanded from three recognized enterprises to sixteen in 2025, marking notable growth in market awareness and corporate investment toward responsible development. The 2025 edition also welcomed overseas participation for the first time, indicating an increasing international relevance.

A key development this year was the involvement of the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), a global organization recognized for its work in advancing sustainability in the pet industry through collaboration, education, and innovation. PSC presented a Special Recognition Award, focusing on measurable practices and impact-driven initiatives. Their contribution added an international perspective to the activity and reflected the growing demand for transparent and actionable sustainability efforts. This award was assessed by Jim Lamancusa, CEO of the PSC. Lamancusa selected Ningbo Weichong Pet Products Co., Ltd. from this year’s “Green Pioneer” enterprises. The company’s successful initiatives and tangible achievements have not only earned authoritative recognition but also provided valuable experience for industry peers, fully demonstrating the robust vitality inherent in pet industry sustainability.

Across CIPS 2025, manufacturers, brands, and service providers engaged in discussions surrounding practical adoption of sustainability, including materials innovation, supply chain responsibility, certifications, and circularity solutions. Industry experts noted a shift from “concept exploration” toward frameworks aimed at measurable outcomes and shared accountability.

Looking forward, industry discussions point toward the need for shared standards, capacity-building, and cross-regional collaboration. These elements are expected to shape how companies translate sustainability commitments into practical and scalable solutions.
