As the Pet Sustainability Coalition celebrates our 5th year anniversary, we are pleased to announce the selection of Melissa Bauer as our new Member Services Manager.  She officially began her role on October 9th and will be located in our Boulder, Colorado office.

Melissa comes to PSC with years of experience in the sustainability industry working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to her new role Melissa served as a sustainability and energy efficiency consultant or co-founder for two different consulting firms, and as a project development specialist for National Geographic.  She has extensive experience with clients both domestically in United States and internationally, across a variety of sectors, and is very excited to use that experience to best serve the variety of members at PSC.

Melissa holds a Masters in Environmental Management specializing in sustainable business strategies from DukeUniversity.  is also an active volunteer serving as a sustainability advisor to her town of residence, Arvada, Colorado and also as a large mammal specialist at the Wild Animal Sanctuary.  Most proudly, though, Melissa’s favorite role is that of pet parent to a 9 year old rescue Leonburger, Memphis.

In her new role, Melissa will be working directly with members of the PSC to advance our vision of a thriving and collaborative pet industry that creates positive impact for the communities and environments where we do business.  She will be helping our members with projects and plans that advance their businesses through profitable environmental and social practices.

As PSC moves past five years into the future we have many exciting times ahead.  Please join us in welcoming Melissa as she helps us with our vision for a more sustainable pet industry.
